Hey Guys 1) How to get the "About Windows" screenshot in Win 7.. where to find that page? 2) How can I activate my 7600 16385 64bit windows 7 one.. so many tools floating around.. i m confused which to use?
1) answered 2) none - they are all creating a frankenbuild (mix of RC and RTM files) Request a bios-mod with SLIC 2.1 and wait for the Win7 certificates+keys to activate. Or wait for a loader based on bios-emulation of SLIC tables.
your only way it seems is to re arm every 30 days. some people differ in how many times it gives but you will get at least 3.
That is correct resulting in 30 days (after install) plus 3x30 days on rearms totaling in 120 days - more than enough to use a proper 'activation' sollution.
thanks for all info guys Now I am already on 7600 and I need to activate it So what options do I have ? any one of these or another? 1) If I have to fall back to a previous (which can be activated) version , which one for 64bit? 2) Any tool to activate my current windows? 3) SLIC 2.1 .. can anyone help by modding my BIOS for me (Dell Studio Laptop) 4) What other choice do i have?? I just have 20 days left.. so please suggest
just use slmgr.vbs -rearm runned in the command prompt as an admin till a loader for Win7 arrives. It will give you 120 days (30 days since install + 3 x 30 days after rearms) Dells are a pain in the @ss to mod, but you may also ask in the Dell thread (Vista section) if it's possible in your case.
