Hello folks: my friend has a hp laptop that had Vista Home with SLP enabled and last time i used the oembios.exe to check the SLP. Just because of a virus which had made it very slow, he insisted me to format and install Win 7.
I didn't have the time to explain him the SLP method or to copy the bios file, so i formatted his laptop and installed Win7:used the Patch to activate it.

Can someone guide me is it possible to install Win7 Ultimate again with the right bios file and make it Genuine like in the Stikies for Win XP: without hacking the BIOS.

    Many thanks:

So what is exactly the question? You like to know if a VL edition of Windows 7 Professional is available? Yes it is, for example: en_windows_7_professional_vl_build_x64_dvd_x15-71037.iso

Thank you FreeStyler, for your input. Just wanted to know that only. :)

Too bad people folks around BIOS modding thread just to install Win7 Ultimate, instead just grab the Pro VL edition.

The reason for that is simple less hastle no need for reactivating every 180 days and using OEM SLP method you can install ANY version you want except VL editions.
