Hello, I want to use windows Server 2022 as a replacement for windows 2021 lstc, on my daily pc. However, i have some concern about app compatibility, and i wish someone could help me, thanks! I mainly want to know: (1) If and how can i install windows store on server 2022? (2) Would there be any app compatibility issue? And how to fix them(if fixable)? (3) Is there a tutorial about tuning the server into a desktop os? (4) Will my drivers install without issue? (5) Will drivers automatically install on server 2022? (6) Is there any other caveats that i should be aware of? That is all i want to ask, any help is appreciated, thanks!!
Microsoft Store are not supported on Windows Server 2022. App or the most of them are compatible with Server. Game works. Drivers dependence? You worry to much. I use Server for long time as desktop OS. I wait for final realize of Server. The only problem is a driver for the Intel network card. That's why I use Realtek.
install ltsc 2021 and convert to iot to have update up to 2032 ( massgravel ) store not work with server , a little application like antivirus not like server etc.. server are not optimized for desktop
I suggest Windows 10 Pro Enterprise or Windows 10 Pro LTSC 2021.. The Server 2022 is not tend for Gamer or OS Desktop, it for File Server, Webhosting, SQL database and other that for Server.. Use Windows 10 or 11.. to me Windows 10 Pro is fine.. I am currently using Windows 10 Pro for Workstation.. ATGPUD2003

But not recommending using in Server.. Use Windows 10 LTSC or Windows 11 LTSC.. I have 3 servers and all run on WIndows 2012 R2 Standard Server with GUI.. Works just the system runs... Both server has MySQL and Hosting and one is just files Server.. ATGPUD2003
