I just read the following on the MS Volume Licensing page........... "NOTE: KMS host software for the 2013 release of Office will be available on VLSC by November 6." With that said, it will take a few days for the VL keys to become available since the RTM host keys are still not available yet and without those, there can't be any KMS servers that can activate Office. The keys that others have are actually the 2013 Preview keys and not the RTM keys. Just be patient and before you know it, the keys will be released and all will be good......
I see this question asked frequently and I will again say that tomorrow, your troubles will start to become a thing of the past when the VL Host keys are released. For now, users with Office 2013 installed on Windows 7 or older machines can activate it against the old Mini-KMS Activator running on another computer or VM. I have read around here that there will be a good surprise tomorrow so my guess is that they have a working activator in play and they only need the legitimate keys to make it work perfectly with Windows 8 since the KMS activation has changed for Windows 8, which is why the Mini-KMS doesn't work for Office 2013 on Windows 8.
Yes, i'm waiting for good news too. When you have a working solution for windows 8, please post it here. Thank you. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. Please also tell us how to activate project and visio 2013 VL too.
Sorry Letmein, but I am not going to be the one releasing this data but I did report the VLSC Office 2013 KMS Host keys would be made available today as per Microsoft. My guess is that some of the members here at MDL have the needed keys and are attempting to add them to a Live KMS server or an emulator, similar to the Office EZ-Activator. Shortly, we will all finally be able to activate Office 2013 VL installations on Windows 8 Pro clients. So far as you may know, the only possible way to activate Office 2013 on Windows 8 has been the phone activation methods seen around here in other links using the retail installation.
KMS and MAK keys have been in VLSC since before the download was available. What is still missing, promised by today, is the KMS Host support which gets installed on your existing KMS server.
Yes, indeed. I hope we have it by the end of this week. By the way, I uninstalled office 2010 and installed 2013 pro plus VL. I'm ready for a office 2013 solution. Thank you for sharing.
Stannieman , Thank you for a link, an instruction how to use it to activate office 2013 pro plus VL on windows 8 would be nice. I have office toolkit 2.4 beta 6 which allows you to activate office 2013 pro plus on win7 not win8.
Activating retail installations with keys you don´t own implicates the usage of leaked = stolen ones. Discussing that is definitly forbidden here.
