Hi, Im sitting here with a SonicWall TZ105, which suddenly got a rapidly blinking Power LED. According to my research, it could be either a fried mainboard, but rather the power supply itself. (bad capacitor) I just measured and it shows 12v. Damn, could that still be a capacitor involved ? These seem to be rare in Europe and I dont have time to wait for an USA delivery. Anyone has one of these, who experienced this flashing LED and maybe has some other ideas or knows what is positive and negative on the plug ? Id prefer to go for a "simple" laptop power supply and grab my soldering iron instead. p.s. The lower connector seems to be the + as the cable has a rill there. (?) Regards
Ok the "rilled" cable is negative. (at least according to this simple universal-power supply) A simple universal-powersupply set to 12v 3a 36w did the job and the SonicWall Power LED lights up blue and boots again.
