Hey Guys, how are you today?

This is about a issue with possible a bios problem.
    I replaced the motherboard MBX-224 from a VPCEB2S1E (15,5") with the MBX-224 from a VPCA3S1E (14,1"),
I had to re-locate the 2 (mouse) touch switches and the battery connector.
The option is there on the board and it works fine.
Now I have one problem left, which is the keyboard. The connector is on the same place, but the system does not accept the 102 keyboard. The numeric pas does not work and if you press numlock, the standard keys change and the numeric still doesn't work. This shows the system used to have 86 keyboard.
Where can I change that? The bios have nothing on the keyboard and I can't find nothing in the system settings.
I can't reflash the bios, cause the system says it it's done already.
So I have been searching everywhere how to recover a Sony bios, but they seems to be so special that there is no
single way to do so. So much different biosses out there, but i can't find an example for my sytem.

Any ideas how to solve this problem are welcome

    Thanks in advance

if bios is for dif number keys.. it wont always include support for 104.. old mobo has likely support for it in bios while newer doesnt.

possible someone can grab old bios and add that module to new bios.

thx for reply. The strange thing is, that both mobo's are MBX-224. One special for 15,5" and one for 14,1". Both from 2011.
The only difference was the battery connector and the 2 mouse switches that needed to move up for the space of the cabinet.
Both mobo's have predefined reserved locations for that. What I don't understand is how these boards must have a different bios, because in the schematics there is nothing about this issue, by components or jumpers etc. So it must be the bios or ec holding this keyboard info.

I hope somebody can explain, how to force the new bios file with a recovery procedure in a Sony.
Also will I try to open the rom file to see if there is anything about keyboards in it.

What I see in forums, also here, that there is no recovery for Sony, at least a working one. Nobody wants to touch that topic.

therefor I exchamged the bios and ec chip for the old one and you will not believe it, nothing has changed, all the DMI data is the same and the keyboard still is not working.
Onliest change is that the Fan is running full speed all the time while the temp on HWInfo says Cpu 26 degr and GPU 35 degr.

I put back the eeproms and the fan problem is gone.
Now I think the setting has to be in the DMI or ME. If the DMI is located in the eeprom, it has to be the ME.

Any thoughts about this are welcome.

P.S. Cleaned the keyboard connector and no change. It really does the same as a 86 keyboard of which you press the numlock and the alternate characters appear on there designated places. (M becomes zero etc )

Can somebody help me to get a older version, they are not available on the Sony site

I'm stuck now. I updated the Bios, EC and ME region and it didn't help.
Probably a hardware issue or a setting.
For that I need the schematics MBX-224 M961.The M960 schematics don't apply, the board is M961.

I would be grateful if anybody good post these schematics for me.
