Sony Vaio BGN FW21M Power Problem Need Help

    Hi guys i need your help

    I have Sony Laptop Vaio VGN-FW21M but for my mistake i broke power button and i need to know what kind of pin have in red part i mark on image 959780.jpg

    I do not know the connector/interface, but if it is just a wire pulled from a pin; I have stripped the wire back, placed the bare wire against the pin and inserted the very tip of a broken-off tooth-pick inside to keep the connection secure.
    All done with care and patience, of coarse....:p
    May be an option.

    looks very close to some of the cdrom audio cables
