Sony Vaio doesn't turn on

    I agree with Joe C u better off replacing your mobo that burn looks bad.

    If you're in the UK and want it fixed, I'll help you out if you're in Uni. If it IS repairable I can do it at cost of postage, or if you're close bring it to me. I agree with the others though, trying to fix boards with craters in them is usually a one-way street to being a donor.

    Judging by the corrosion showing on this board, and the fried hole, it looks as if it got wet at some point in time. I'd venture to say it the op may be due for a new pc anyway. It's quite possible that a failed/shorted power supply caused the disastrous failure of this board.
