Hi! I got Sony Vaio SVE1713Y1RB and try to install Mac OS X to them. But I cannot do that because BIOS settings is limited so I cannot set HDD to AHCI mode. I think better to enable this options via updating variables in EFI, modding BIOS is too difficult and not needed for now. I looked lot of the forums and vendor website but cannot find factory BIOS, BIOS update or Sony BIOS dumper. Please, any help will be useful. BIOS: Insyde Corp., ver R017006, from 03/13/2012.
Any news on that BIOS? I own a Sony VAIO SVE1713Y1EB with BIOS R0170D6. Currently it's on maintenance cause I flashed the notebook with a wrong BIOS file which seemed to be the same BIOS as found on the VAIO website - but was not listed for this model... So, did you get any reply yet?
No news. I tried to patch BIOS but somewhere in firmware it checked and flashing fails. Also I found my HDD already in AHCI.
