had formatted hard drive (and removed recovery partition since I thought bios would be moddable) ; installed win 7 Ultimate and used loader when I could find no 2.1 bios. received upgrade package today - removed loader and proceeded to run supplementary disc!! correct operating system(vista?) not found! would not run! changed product key to the one on the Win7 upgrade disc and it activated straight up with no other changes! What system id used to activate this? (Bios R2060Y0) Is there some way to extract Sony's programs from the Supplementary Disc 1? (This seems too easy!!) Sorry for model error - VAIO FW37GY
