guys i need some help i have been trying to create an sony vaio oem disc of xp media centre 2005 with intergrated intel iastor drivers as i was given a sony vaio vgx-xl100 media centre with no hdd, i have 2 500gb sata drives that i want to put in it, i have no floppy drive to use on it so any help from u guys would be magic
tito i have tried that but when i burn it, it burns ok but will not detect any hdd's i have also tried n-lite but the iso file it creates wont boot, dunno what im doing wrong as i have created mce versions of hp and dell they work fine just this one wont work
ok i got it to install but only as xp pro so the key i have is for pro where can i get the mce slp key
Reinstalled mce installed as it should but half the windows programs like media player and media centre hasnt been installed correctly as i got hardly any icons on the start bar, media centre directory has been created with the files inside it but wont run helpppppppppppppppppppppppppp plz
i have copied the oem set into the iso, now i'm lost in trying to incorporate the iastor drivers into the install part of the install, everytime i manage to enter into txtsetup.sif it boots starts the install them comes up with the error - value 0 on the line line in section [winntdirectoreies] with key "1984." i have searched the sif file but there is nothing there if somebody could help me here i would be very gratefull.. i must say the other mce iso's i have done wasnt this hard, why do dell and sony etc set the sata ports to ahci them hide that section in the bios so u cant change it to ide is beyond me
