Hi everyone, this is my first time here and I'd like to see if anyone here can help me. I have a Sony VIAO model PCG-FXA36. It came with a BIOS ver. R0107K5 (Original). I took a latest version of BIOS from model PCG-FXA47 ver. R0121K5 and it works with no problems. Here is where my help is needed. I have Windows 7 Starter and would like to activate it but when I use loaders of any kind my system crashes and gets stuck in a loop. I tried them all and nothing works. Reading around I found out that I need a SLIC of 2.1 and need to mod my BIOS for that. I would like to know if anyone on this site did a mod for the PCG-FXA series and if no, than I have no problem doing it my self. Here are the specs of my laptop: Brand: Sony VIAO Model: PCG-FXA36 BIOS ver: R0121K CPU: 1.2 GHz RAM: 384MB HD: 80GB This was given to me for free and there is nothing more i can do to improve this laptop. It's 4 years and did its job. Now it sits and gathers dust, so if something happens to it I don't care. Will be awaiting replies. Thank you all. P.S. Is it something that I can do? It will be a nice thing to know or is it part of rules of the forum. Just asking and didn't have the time to read all the rules. Also, the BIOS link from Sony will give you an .exe file that needs to be extrackted and then copied to a floppy. I have the floppy with the files on it. Should I attach them to you the reply?
Are you asking me for a good uploader? Yes, I have been with demonoid for 6 years and I am not exactly sure what you are asking? Are you asking for an FTP Program?
