Aninvitedsoul this is not new, stop posting crap like this, Windows 8.1 boots fast enough, and optimizes boot process on each weekly defrag, if yours doesnt then your computer is not on pair of this release of Windows, and like I told you on the other thread about system.ini tweaks, go back to Windows 95.
Fastboot takes about 11GB (% related to the 16GB of System Memory) of my already small SSD so not worth it IMO esp as its only for cold boots not restarts which I do more of due to dual booting. Hibernation is one thing many turn of to get back a large chunk of pace when using a SSD.
Thank you for motivating me to post more advanced topics. But please don't call any effort as "crap" if it doesn't suite you.Other people just might get some use of it.Thank you. My laptop isn't so bad Dell core i7 2 GHz,6 GB RAM,640 GB 5400 r.p.m. and it was of some help to me using 8.1 sdk.
