I'm just throwing this in here as well (as many people are still not aware of this): Unlike Windows editions, for SQL Server the Enterprise Core edition is the most complete one. The Enterprise edition follows a per-server license model and contains limitations with regards to the maximum number of CPU cores it is allowed to utilise, and this limitation is technologically enforced. The Enterprise Core edition is named that way because it uses a per-core license model, allowing it to run on any number of CPU cores. There are no technological limitations in the Enterprise Core edition, the license for the number of CPU cores is not enforced in the software.
Threat still ULing to me, almost 22gb atm. -ed at 33GB now, getting there lol I plan to see what SVF's will look like from SP1 -> SP2 for the 17 files.
Why don't you delta for most of them, if they are anything like SP1, difference between versions is around 2 KB. So only need a base version of a 86 and a 64, then 40 KB for the last 2 x 5, all up would be no more than 10GB. Bit of a time saver.
I managed to make 6 before I had to leave for work today. But x64 are ~850MB and x86 ~550MB Code: BUSINESS_INTELLIGENCE_WITH_SP1_X64_DVD_1228505_to_SP2_X64_DVD_4351701.svf -> 854 MB (895,709,192 bytes) BUSINESS_INTELLIGENCE_WITH_SP1_X86_DVD_1228535_to_SP2_X86_DVD_4351710.svf --> 558 MB (585,545,332 bytes) DEVELOPER_EDITION_WITH_SP1_X64_DVD_1228540_to_SP2_X64_DVD_4351703.svf --> 854 MB (895,708,724 bytes) DEVELOPER_EDITION_WITH_SP1_X86_DVD_1228543_to_SP2_X86_DVD_4351711.svf --> 558 MB (585,545,240 bytes) ENTERPRISE_CORE_EDITION_WITH_SP1_X64_DVD_1228138_to_SP2_X64_DVD_4351705.svf --> 854 MB (895,708,872 bytes) ENTERPRISE_CORE_EDITION_WITH_SP1_X86_DVD_1227987_to_SP2_X86_DVD_4351713.svf --> 558 MB (585,545,312 bytes) --ed I think I see what you are saying, or Im thinking something that might be better. Either way LoL workin on it
Hi EFA11 Didn't mean delta for SP1 -> SP2 Meant delta between versions in SP2, would be a much smaller upload from Threat to You. I don't have any options at the moment for downloading anything this size, so please don't waste your time on upping for me.
what I am trying now, is using core sp1 -> to all sp2. one for x86 one for x64. After I put the sizes in here I noticed they were the same for x64 and x86 haha. So will see how that goes. We will figure out something for your dongle too though -ed- so this is what Im doing, "sp1 ent core ent x64 -> all sp2 x64" and "sp1 ent core x86 -> all sp2 x86". I will also do, "sp2 ent core -> all" for both x64 and x86 for those who already have ent core sp2 and want the rest
