I have an 32gb SSD and I was told that I can use it for caching my HDD for faster performance. I want to know if it's possible using my processor: Thanks!
I think that was a feature on Z68 & Z77 chipset motherboards using Intel Smart Response Technology. You'd turn on raid in the bios, install to HDD, plug in SSD, use Intel Rapid Storage utility to set SSD as cache (I think, been ages). With SSD's being so cheap I wouldn't even bother. Perhaps chuck it into an external enclosure instead...
Maybe this would help, looks like it depends on chipset. I can't post links so use google to find a pdf on intel website named "rapid_start_technology_user_guide_for_uefi1.pdf"
