Randomly and following no specific action, the start button stop working. The start button becomes unclickable. this is a long time issue for me and some of my friends. Whats causing this? I've tried everything

ah, okay, my menu disappears, nothing happens when I move the mouse into the right lower corner sometimes,
I can only reboot on commandline using shutdown -r /t 0

The same thing happens to me but, as MrMagic said, I just [Ctrl+Shift+Esc --> Windows Explorer --> Restart] and all is normal again. Any open folders will obviously close and not reopen, but otherwise this fixes everything.

I think i just found out how to solve this!

Just uncheck this option under task bar properties: "When I click the upper-left corner, switch between my recent apps."

Its been 4 days e no more start button unclickable. Nothing!:p:p
