I had a problem with the start button. When I pressed the start it would open for about 1 to 5 seconds, then close. Mostly I couldnt restart the computer and some times I wasnt quick enough to shut down. I had to use shutdown.exe shortcuts on my desk top. I found an answer on another forum: I went to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility and then MessageDuration and changed 0x0000000a(5) hex to 0x0000000a(10) dec. After reboot all is well.
Click the start button then rapidly move the curser over to the shutdown area, but it closes before you have time to click shutdown. Some times its slower so you can click the start then rapidly click all programs, but then you run out of time hunting for a program before it closes.
If it is so, then there is a problem in your system. Try to find it. Definitely do not do strange changes in what you exactly do not know, what it will do or what it is. It is normal that sometimes you have to wait until the menu opens, but it is not normal, if it immediately disappears. Probably something in the system is changed or modified, or just need a bit to tidy up.

No, this cannot be true. So is not possible this error any way to fix, about what You spoke in the first post. Then is possible only one - there was no such error.
