Start menu icons disappeared

    Hi

    my Start menu icons disappeared in windows 10. I tried to rebuild the icon cache by deleting the IconCache.db file located in C:\Users\{user-name}\AppData\Local folder, but i didn't work.

    Is there any other method to restore the icon? Please help.

    Do all of the icons are missing, or only the right hand? Perhaps you can put the whole picture,
    and maybe you remember what you did before, when they disappeared.

    Windows key + X, select Command Prompt (Admin) and type sfc /scannow and return. If it finds and repairs system files, run it again until no errors.

    If this does not correct the situation, you have to do a Refresh install.

    I found a good way to correct errors that sfc /scannow won't correct is to run chkdsk/f (from admin-command prompt).

    They icons are back.
