Start Menu items missing / no refresh

    How 'bout the good ol sfc /scannow ?
    Otherwise maybe worth a shot, but try the video drivers from your manufactures website. Mine (z97-K) just got officially updated and after i installed those many little bugs went away.

    Yup, used sfc /scannow too the other day... all clear

    Do you use build in Admin account? I switched from build in admin account to regular admin account because start menu is not working as supposed to when signed in to build in admin account. Stuff is missing and when searching for programs nothing shows up.

    I'm not using the "Administrator" account... still disabled, like default
    I'm using my own one, under my name... with admin rights, of course

    That command I posted will reinstall all metro apps on your computer. Therefore fixing any problem files or broken registry keys.

    Well, it also brought back some missing non-Metro UI apps back into the Start menu, after I was trying to fix it a couple of days ago

    It's still not 100%, so I don't know what's up...
