Every time I restart my comp the amount of start menu items is set at fifteen which is essentially too many items and takes up too much space on my screen. When I set the amount of items to 13 or 12 it stays there until I restart and it sets it back to 15. I really hate setting it back to 12/13 every time I restart. Is there anyway to fix this?
I don't know if this is helpful but try to use small icons (uncheck Large icons in Customize Start Menu) then set Number of recent programs to display and Number of recent items to display in Jump Lists how much do you need.
