"Most Used" and "Recently Added" does not appear in my start menu at all. I have it "ON" in the Settings>Personalization, I tried turning OFF and ON, rebooting and more, but it just doesn't appear in the start menu. Any one knows how I could possibly fix this? Also, how do you remove the shortcuts from "All Apps" such as OneNote, Film & TV etc. . Thanks
How to Add or Remove Folders on Start List in Windows 10 1. Open the Settings app, and click/tap on Personalization. 2. Click/tap on Start on the left side, and click/tap on the Choose which folders appear on Start link on the right side. 3. Turn on (add) or off (remove) the folders for how you want to customize your Start list.
I'm using both StartisBack++ and Classic Shell (obviously in a different machine). There's no winner I believe, depends on your needs.
Thanks but this has nothing to do with the preinstalled apps folders in start menu. So does anyone know how to actually remove them? Also I still cant get most used tab to show back in start menu, many people said that if u disable it once, it bugs out forever and wont show back even if u turn it on - that is the case for me. Would anyone a solution that doesnt involve using other shells please?
If we're talking strictly as a start menu replacement I think StartIsBack++ takes it. It looks and feels more like Windows 7 than classic shell. But it's not free and not available from Ninite so it's used less.
Id rather stick with the windows 10 start menu, only issue I have is I cant make show most used apps work again
LOL my Start Icon and Search Bar doesn't even respond half the time, and in some cases, Cortana and Start Menu crashes up to the point that a Critical Error message pops up and basically tells me to "sign out now"! Then again, I'm running it on my Dell Inspiron 1750, which was having SIMILAR problems with Windows 8 LMAO, so yeah, time for an upgrade!
Look depends on the installed skin, It's a draw there. On features/customizzation side CS wins hands down, and it's also free. So I can't see a single reason to prefer SIB over CS.
have you tried hovering on the top edge of startmenu and dragging up to enlarge it,maybe it needs more room to display them.
