I made an agreement with the MDL Staff about the donations before adding all stuff on the applications. Currently, I'm using C#.NET, and the UI is solid drawed programatically.. Here's the answer for an smallest size compressed (only 40 KB..).

Doesn't work properly. Although it skips the start screen, it automatically opens up the Libraries folder each time you boot to desktop. Classic Shell's new and improved method seems to be cleaner at the moment
It's expected for an application that not increase the boot time, use services or tamper any file. Just a native way to do it without external programs! You know the better...
I respect your work as I said but I don't think this is meant to be called 'clean'. "explorer.exe explorer.exe" means open it as shell in addtion with an explorer window. I absolutly agree that it's pretty safe and doesn't need anything more in addition but from my definition it's not meant to be "clean" or even cleanest.
You don't understand my clean concept.. The installation is clean. And, I see no problem on the library window showing every boot. I'm not a perfectionist. I prefer a window more than touch on a lot of stuff on the operating system simply for not see one window on the start, or install any service, tasks, startup entries, but is a question of the user. If anyone not like of the results, the uninstall feature works in one click anyway. The user knows of the explorer that is doubly initialized, I personally like as it.
@ace2 Sry but this doesn't make any seens at all. - executing, killing, waiting, reopen... sry what?! This is the worst workaround i've ever seen. sry. And Josh: It takes about 10sek. I see a taskbar with black background, popping up a library, flickering. still black background with colored taskbar ... it's all over fractales. Desktop loads... (yeah) icons appear. flickering. done. This i not clean after my definition. but easy and save it is.
It depends of your hardware.. For me, I just see the Start Screen for 0,5 seconds and the desktop is shown instantly. VM's is so slow for that. I'll see the way, but looks so slow because you're killing and opening the process instance.
