Hi, I could install the previous version (7) of WOW like a charm as it's provided with an installer.

Now, I would like to install the new version (7.0.1a) but I really don't understand where I have to put the 2 files (menu.lst+grldr) and the wow7 folder.

I have the hidden partition and I've assignated it to R: as adviced, but don't know if I have to copy those files and folder in my system root (C: ) or the system reserved one (R: in my case).

When I copy the files in R:, I got an error while running the installer .bat.

Please I need a step by step howto !

    Thanks in advance !

You need to copy all of the files to R: - so you have done it correctly.

The error message you get on install "Access denied..." etc is normal.

Did you install the product key and certificate?

If so then reboot to see if you are activated.

@ GONAZPO : this tutorial is for original version 7, not the 7.0.1a which have no installer, but only .bat batch files.

@CHINOBINO : thanks for your answer, but I have other errors messages, for example something like bootsectgrldr is not a valid command or an error when triying to map the volumes.

There is any automatic installer for version 7.0.1a please ?

Thanks Hazar, this loader can be the only one that can activate my LG X110 netbook as all the others failed to to !

Please could you make it silent in order to hide boot messages ?

Thanks for your great work !

Still failed to activate my netbook...just the original version (Wow 7) worked for me, but I'm looking for a silent and "clean" loader please...

If it works it works, I don't understand the need to have it be "silent" or "clean" when you see it for a total of what 3 seconds?

Edit the install batch file and at the end of it before the word "exit" in the line above put in the word pause. This will pause the batch file so you can see what the problem is and paste it in the forums here.

    Exactly
    if it works it works...

The new version ---> Silent mode

    Thx supertack for your feedback

    Version WoW 7.0.1b not works

If exit two problem in your bat (quick bat to exe compiler)
(hazar, with all due respect, you
need to read more carefully what untermensch has written )

    good luck

@HSCHRONIC : thanks for answering, I agree with you for adding "pause", but I see EXIT nowhere !

This is the content of the install.bat that I have:

    @echo off
    for %%X in (C: D: E: R:) do (
    if exist %%X\bootmgr bootsectgrldr.exe /nt60 %%X
    )
    pause

Maybe I downloaded a wrong version of the WOW 7.0.1a ???

And this is the erro message that I got when running this .bat with administrations rights of course :

'bootsectgrldr.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
Press any key to continue . . .

    What do you think ?

I've the same problem, Supertack. I bought my X110 with a genuine XP Home that doesn't need activation. Maybe it's a SLIC issue ?

Anyway, the WOW 7.0.0 worked for me too, but I've the same error message with the 7.0.1a version, so a tuto would be very interesting !
