Big difference between using Windows 7 and Windows 10 on a PC with 1 GB ram With Windows 7 it hung up many times but With 10 the situation is different, even though I admit that Windows 10 is using more memory to operate than what it was used to be in Windows 7 but it is managing it in a different way and this is why it is faster.
I've got an old HTPC with 2GB RAM and it runs much smoother with Windows 10 than it ever did on Win7 or 8.1
I got a 10-11 years old Dell 700m laptop and I got Win7 running on it. It was great at first, but it gets really hot these days. I think I may try Win10 and see whether I can install that on it and whether it holds...hahaha Thanks for the advice by the way...
Netbook: ASUS eee PC 900 MHz, 2GB RAM, 32 GB SSD KingSpec. Seriously, amazing speed with win 10 on this little fella !
Windows 7 runs just fine on machines with 1GB or even 2GB without issues. It scales down appropriately. Hell, I've even restricted it to 512MB on occasion for testing purposes and the OS itself barely will pass 225MB used which is damned remarkable.
And what about Win XP?? Seriously. I have a relative who uses still winxp on a pc with 2GB ram. Better to upgrade to win 7 or win10?
. I have a hp g6 laptop its junk with 7 as well and I slaped win 10 on and boy it runs fast now. thatswit 500g hdd and 3g ram 2.4ghz dual cpu no it don't have legs . [offtopic] tarihci have u given your laptop a service l8tly? get your cpu and heat sink a clean from all dust build up.. you should find it wont get hot then. I always find fans and heat sinks get bloked up. yes I service laptops and computers. and no u cant drop it off I don't think you would want to spend a few grand to get to me
