Windows 7 Ultimate, an old but stable install, fully patched and up to date. Got a few , rare, blue screens lately , both seemingly related to BC_3DES.SYS , an old bestcrypt driver. Never had an issue with this driver before . Who knows if thats the actual cause or just the fall guy . In neither case was I using the bestcrypt product at the time. 060819-9578-01.dmp 6/8/2019 2:39:26 AM MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS 0x00000044 fffffa80`0cf50880 00000000`00000ec0 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000000 BC_3DES.SYS BC_3DES.SYS+1fd6b88 x64 061519-8673-01.dmp 6/15/2019 9:06:45 PM KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x0000001e ffffffff`c0000005 fffff800`03900cc6 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000018 BC_3DES.SYS BC_3DES.SYS+daf7d01 x64 Big question, both time the blue screen looked much different than usual, with a bright orange border. I googled this and found nothing. Did MS change the blue screen look recently ??
Uh, I already said it was a bestcrypt driver. Unlikely to be malware , and I don't scare easily. Thanks.
