Strange new look for Blue Screen

    Windows 7 Ultimate, an old but stable install, fully patched and up to date.

    Got a few , rare, blue screens lately , both seemingly related to BC_3DES.SYS , an old bestcrypt driver. Never had an issue with this driver before . Who knows if thats the actual cause or just the fall guy . In neither case was I using the bestcrypt product at the time.

    Big question, both time the blue screen looked much different than usual, with a bright orange border. I googled this and found nothing. Did MS change the blue screen look recently ??

    Do you know what that file's for? Could be some bestcrypt driver? More like Crypto Malware!

    Uh, I already said it was a bestcrypt driver.

    Unlikely to be malware , and I don't scare easily. Thanks.
