someone i know asked me if i could do this and i read somewhere a while back there was a way, what he wants (for whatever reason im not sure honestly ) i was asked today if i can change the windows is starting animation BACK to the older green loading bar during startup, any ideas of how without modding any real system files that could flag windows as non genuine like the vistalizer thing seems to be doing? thank you
I know it was for vista but that is what Armada was asking about. IF you want one for win7 just google "how to change windows 7 boot screen"
I was following a thread a few weeks ago on sevenforums about changing bootscreen and I messed up. I was hoping to find a program like bootskin for win7.
sorry an error on my behalf ... it will only change the logon / backgrond not the boot screen ...still trying to fine a way to change mine but no luck at the moment
so far nothing has worked due to lack of the digital sigs for the files. i have been trying all kinds of things with no luck yet
Are you talking about the green bar instead of the flag animation? I did this accidentally, I think I did it with Vlite, Vlite used the vista files instead of 7's.
Whats funny is when I hit the f8 button on reboot and go to repair I actually get the vista green bar...lol
I don't know then Armada, maybe doing a repair or even reinstall if it has to be there. I would try googleing some more though first. Good luck. Sorry I don't really know that much about vista
I have one 7 ultimate machine out of 3 that actually has green bar and not the animated windows and "starting windows", but not from anything I remember doing. Only difference from the others is that it originally had Vista on it, but partition was wiped and a clean 7 was put on. Maybe leftover stuff in the boot sector is responsible? Machine 1 - HP SLIC, but retail (technet) key - animation/starting windows Machine 2 - DELL SLIC, OEM:SLP activation - animation/starting windows Machine 3 - HP SLIC, OEM:SLP activation - oldstyle green bars
