I know it's a waste, but I have seen people ask for help on large threads, and they don't get answered because so many posts bury them.

@ HOPPYAH :: They should just start over. What really should be done is wipe the HDD, then install your original OS, make sure it's SP1, then upgrade, then clean install 10.

This is the professional way, clean system with the Hard Drive cleaned correctly, not formatted, formatting from NTFS to NTFS is not how you clean a HDD.

Yes, we know, it's the only way to get a free upgrade.

Not sure Hops, can be a lot of things. Have you tried to cold boot ? are your mouse and keyboard in usb 2.0, if this keeps up, If this fails I say put in the ISO installer and try a repair, if repair fails, then you can try a CMOS clear, and then go into BIOS /UEFI if you have a UEFI and set you GPU / IGPU, set storage settings and boots.

Yesterday I called the car workshop and asked why my car engine won't start anymore. They couldn't help me and said there could be more than one reason!

If you don't mind, be a tad more specific and provide additional vital information like the color of your ceiling and other details necessary to help via a forum.
    Thanks.

... and I deleted some unnecessary postings. Please keep this thread clean.
