surprised activating build 10041

    in "control panel "system" I put my W 8.1 license serial via "change product key" which granted me with a "thank you for activating" message.
    ¤ Did anyone had the same experience ?
    ¤ What are the consequences in terms of licensing ?
    btw I still have the TP watermark

    PS I updated W8.1 right to W 10 10041

    not a suprise relly considering the upgrade is free for windows 7 and 8.x users

    as for licensing consequences your technicly entitled to upgrade to windows 10 for free so shouldnt make any diffrence

    I hope for you that that you don't upgrade a lot in the mean time with your serial because you will be ending up activating by phone :p

    no just this time from w8.1 to 10.10048 straight

    i doubt once u install the final product and your force to do a clean install that your 8.1 license will work.

    but u never no keep your finger cross.

    The PID.txt key from the Pro Beta is a Windows 8 Beta key.
    That my have something to do with it.
