Switch Channel form VL to Retail ?

    Is it possible to switch the Channel from Volume to Retail after installation ?

    Change the product key for a retail one with Pro/Home

    It's not working. I have an original Win 7 Ultimate Key. - "You are running Windows 10 Pro. The entered product key can not be used to activate this version."

    I got the same trying to move from LTSB to Pro on my tablet, must need a clean install to use previous OS keys if you are running VL - or a genuine retail 10 key

    I've solved the problem. ! I have first entered the generic retail key, then restart Windows and enter my Win 7 Retail Key..."activated" ! Thx :clap: :)

    Hi folks reviving an old thread. Anyone know how to convert Volume to Retail channel in a live system. From the post above what is a generic retail key? Thanks
