TouchPad keeps freezing up on my Dell Inspirion N411Z while using Windows 8-64 bit. I have to close the lid and open it back up to unfreeze it.
this came over night? Some tuning? All original? .... or bad hardware > had this on a lappy last year > touch pad said good bye during work , was old only 2 years
Maybe you should check the driver and also maybe update the BIOS to the latest version. Windows 8 is a bit sensitive about that!
for the BIOS I have the current version from Dell and the touchpad drivers are current because this is the version from 2013, 16.3.15.1
you sure its the right driver? I have an E6400 previously with Vista and then later Windows 7. No problems at all. Now i recently installed Windows 8 a week ago. Dell didn't provide the drivers as they promised they would for my laptop So i went searching for compatible drivers that might work.. I got lucky, some newer laptop models had drivers that work. It could be Alps drivers for touchpad. Be sure its the right one... PS: A33 recently got released. That fixed a lot of my issues...
