I want to have my Win 11 desktop kept up-to-date with any photos I take on my Android phone. I dislike Google because it insists on micro-managing me and creating all manner of albums, memories and stuff I don't want. Albums are just shortcuts to the actual image and I don't want that. After trying to stop Google photos from behaving like this I gave up. I installed Amazon Photos as I'm already a Prime member. It is better but already is showing Memories and I can't make it go away. Also, it isn't syncing with the Amazon desktop app. ** All I want is a single folder on my phone for all pictures I take with it and for those to be downloaded to a single folder on my desktop whenever in wifi-range.** Any suggestions? Whilst I'm here, if I may, could I also say that when using Amazon Phone I deleted a load of image files on the phone. It seems Google helpfully re-uploaded them all. I simply can't get rid of them!
So far as far as I know, you can very easily use a simple cable (USB2/3 => USB-c) or Bluetooth and you don't need any Google or Amazon or Microsoft or what ever cloud, which also works great. But even all these cloud what You named, all works perfectly, even Google. And I forgot, if You have at least Android 7 or higher, You can sync also Wirelessly, ie Sync Photos Between Windows 10 and Android over Wireless (WiFi) adapter.
I know I can sync using built-in Google but I am on about Google "helping" by organising me with albums, favourites, memories and other cr*p. On my phone and in Google desktop I have photos scattered everywhere. And only accessible via the shortcuts not direct to the actual file folder they all reside in. And Google won't let me rename photos. And Google won't let me or makes it obscure how I can manage my photos. Far too much handholding. I am quite happy to use a command prompt type of guy!
