System error 1008?

    I just started receiving a system error 1008 when trying to install an application (from a reputable source). Can anyone explain what this error is and if there's a fix? Thanks!

    Need more info have you looked at event log we don,t even know what version of vista you are using or the name of the APP:p

    Sorry, that's what I get for rushing. I running Vista Business OS on a 64 bit dual core. I was trying to install an application called Easy Mail Merge v 1.195. A previous installation went fine. I've since deleted all traces and reinstalled, now get the 1008 error. Let me know if you need any further information. The log showed the following:

    Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS1094.tmp\setup.msi. System error 1008. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

    The Temp application file does exist. Thanks.
