Anyone figure out how to hide the volume icon in Windows 11? Seems the option in the local policy no longer exists.. My OCD is kicking in with having Windows 11 installed in VM's in my lab. All previous OS's , I'm able to hide the speaker/volume icon. (as there is no sound hardware installed in the VM). Thanks! -JB
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons. Choose hide icons and notifications on the volume notification. This might be only an option in startallisback as that is what I use.
Thanks all for valued input.. Unfortunately this is odd... the option to turn off/on volume icon is already set to off.. and speaker icon is still visible.. This is definitely different behavior than any other OS before this.. (this is clean install of Enterprise in a VM (xen / xcp-ng)
