Agreed, but what can ya do? I have thought about telling them so, but their funding comes from NSA and such, not me. (Yet another thing that doesn't seem quite right) But the NSA did create SELinux as well (and have been regretting it ever since).
Tails gets funding from NSA (because they use it), not the entire Linux community. Linux is secure. SELinux is very secure. So secure that the NSA admitted that it was a huge mistake to release it under GPL therefore releasing it into "the wild". Tails implements SELinux in their distro (I believe). SELinux is so secure that NSA cannot crack it. There is only 1 hole in Tails that I know of, and that is the exit nodes. But unless you are being actively tracked (at your ISP level) there is no way to know who or where the traffic is coming from. There is other measures that need to be taken to remain completely safe, like disabling java in FF.
If NSA create SELinux than your statement is false. Why would NSA say they cannot crack it ? sure they have backdoor programs to enter which we do not know off. I stay away from linux because even that one is under NSA control
