Overall I think win 8 installs faster than win 7. For example, the time from clicking next to start install to entering PC name and colour on my ssd is 7-8 mins on win 8 and 12-13 mins on win 7. Even after the delay in getting pc ready, readiness state comes in 11-12 mins in win 8 and 15-17 mins on win 7. This is from DVD install.
Laughter is still the best medicine, the problem is a laughed so hard I peed myself before making it to the toilet
Weatherman is forecasting rain in your future. So not a single idea on which DLL these images are being pulled from.
Who says it are images? Maybe it's just some code that slowly changes the color... Although I too think it's a png animation.
Now that's one way to inspire customer loyalty. Steve Jobs kept all of the acid for himself, but Microsoft is giving it away free with a Windows 8 upgrade!
Jokes aside, I couldn't understand why anyone would bother to temper the windows files, just to remove a 2 minute feature that only appears on installation, not to mention the additional times needed to extract the files from install.wim, then to recompile it again.
You ask why, I ask why not ? Actually it appears on every new 'user profile', not just during installation. I can't understand why so many here prefer patches created by someone else for their watermarks, instead of learning how to disassemble and duplicating the patch on their own. This new breed at MDL is certainly a different type of beast.
Not sure how to get rid of it permanently but when it does come up, just press Alt+F4. The tutorial will close and leave you with a black screen for the remainder of the time it takes to initialize the new user profile. If profile setup completes before the tutorial would have ended, this also lets you log in quicker.
