Could not delete "kprocesshacker.sys" after running as admin

Had to use LockHunter to delete it at next reboot

Not by Windows it's not, Windows does not mark files for deletion after reboot from a simple right click > delete command afaik, the file was in use, therefore it will remain at next reboot until I try to delete it again, or in this case lockhunter does

you could have run "net stop KProcessHacker" from an elevated command prompt to unload the processhacker driver than you could have deleted it as well, actually thats the safer way, idk. if windows don't want to BSOD if you forcefully close the handle on a loaded driver file

    A few issues / questions:

    1. In Settings, if I fully uncheck the box "Show CPU usage like on linux" (partially checked by default), press OK, and re-open the settings, that box is, once again, partially selected.
1a) Is it not possible to fully uncheck it and have that selection saved?
1b) Could you write Linux with a capital L, as it is a name?

    2. On the "System" tab, there are a few syntax errors: "Page virtusl size" -> "Page virtual size", "Cpu" -> "CPU".

    3. On the "General" tab: "Virtusl size" -> "Virtual size".

    4. The reason I cannot test it further is: With Avast on the system, it is impossible to use Task Explorer. Avast does not like kprocesshacker.sys and its attempts to examine Avast processes. The Avast Self-Defense blocks execution. This could only be solved if we could maintain a blacklist of processes to leave alone.

    Hi,

    1-3 will fix that

4 I will add a blacklist section with exe names to be "left alone"

I could try to compile my own kprocesshacker.sys, but i would have to look into how to get it signed such that it works on systems without test mdoe enabled.

    Cheers
    David X.
