In Case you are wondering that what is the direct shortcut for Task Manager in Windows 7.
    Then you have a solution.
In previous version of Windows (from XP and back) the shortcut was Ctrl + Alt + Del.
But, in the case of Windows 7. Pressing these combinations of keys, you get a lock screen

If you directly want to start Task Manger, the shortcut key in Windows 7 is
    Ctrl + Shift + Esc

Infact this shortcut also works with Windows XP, Windows Vista.

So incase if you were wondering how to get the task manager in Windows 7 without doing
    1. Ctrl + Alt + Del and selecting Start Task Manager or
    2. Or RUN and taskmgr

you can simply press Ctrl + Shift + Esc

    Note:
It does not matter whether its a Right or Left Ctrl or Shift

Or Right Click on the task bar (not an icon) and select "Start Task Manager"

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
