Hi guys! I have been trying to find an answer to this question everywhere but no one seemed to satisfy me. I wanna remove everything related to Telemetry and other spywares that are forced installed on Windows 10, but I am stuck at IP Block List! o_O I just cannot understand why it is even necessary to block hundreds of ips and keep updating this list when the spyware services and tasks are already disabled??? Can some expert please explain this.... :worthy:

When you create a blocklist you don't need to keep updating it. It's just that if you're using something like PeerBlock then it will offer you a list of things you can block, but you don't need to block P2P, spyware or advertising.

The hosts file does block some things, but Microsoft doesn't use static addresses for everything. For example explorer.exe connects to IP 191.232.139.XXX and the hosts file can't block IP ranges.

Right now people are taking guesses as to what needs to be removed to prevent telemetry data from being collected and sent. Some of us would rather keeps Windows intact and instead simply block the transfer of the data, at least until there's a method that's been proven to fully remove data collection without it breaking anything.

sourceforge.net has been packaging adware/spyware/malware into its downloadable files recently. :(

It's not crazy. I love FreeFileSync to mirror my data drives, but the installer contains OpenCandy. If you don't believe it, download the executable for Windows and have VirusTotal scan it. I just did, the score is 19/56, pretty bad & sad.

I install it, then have MalwareBytes Pro clean up my system.
