    Hi there,

Is there any way to test if a Windows 10 key (also Office 2016) is in use? I can't seem to get that information from PID Checker.

    Thanks so much!

Do you have another partition you can put pro on, so if key is no good you still have 8.1, like dual boot, your computer, is it 32 or 64 bit:D

The only tool I know for that about, is the VAMT (Volume Activation Management Tool) and that works for Windows and Office alike. Latest Version is v3 AFAIK!

Yeah I think I'm just going to install Win 10 on a virtual box to test them. Downloading the ISO now. Its 64 bit.

Thanks! I tried version 2.0 and it was sort of over my head, I'll try out version 3.

Thanks for the help! I found that version 3 is easier to use than 2, but it won't display remaining activations for retail licenses. They just come up as "Not Available"

Basically, my situation is that I have like 15 retail keys that I sold online (they're totally legit, whitehat stuff), but I messed up along the way and sent the key for another product to one of my Win10 Customers. The issue is that I didn't keep track of who I was sending this to (I've since starting doing this) so out of these 15 keys, one is unactivated and waiting for me to send to this customer. I just setup a Win10 Virtual Box but it seems to accept any key I throw at it. These licenses are for 1 activation only so I don't know why Windows is accepting these. Maybe it will tell me in a week to activate?

Do you know if there's a delay between adding a key and Microsoft checking if it's usable? I'm connected to the net on the virtual box.

    Thanks!

    Two points:

One, if a key is single use only and you test it in a VM, your customer won't be able to use it as it's tied to that VM now.
Two, VAMT only checks available activations for MAK, not retail keys.

If the P-Key wasn't used ever, you could get that info in VAMT, which will show Retail and 1 activation left. That didn't works for OEM Product Keys. And I don't know about VAMT 3/3.1, never used it, neither downloaded!

Thanks Myrrh. I removed the key from the VM after testing it.
