Always reminds of a church..... Once an enlightened founder, like Jesus, Buddha or others, is dead... the lawyers and businessmen take over and turn it all in a money making religion. From what I read about him, with Jobs alive stuff like that never happened....
The job of a sales person is to sell a product, not to fix a product. Always keep that in mind when dealing with these people.
Just as I began falling in love with the Apple interface introduced by my phone, I bought a MacBook Air. I have an ipad as well and enjoyed the "ecosystem" concept very much. However, after watching so many of Rossman's videos and his reasoning and logic behind his statements, and working in a computer repair shop for a year...he's right. They would rather sell you a new product yearly than repair what you have. Simple things like drainage holes in the bottom of the chassis, liquid-preventing tape over vital components on the mobo, their laptop heating problems...all led me to understand that even though it's slick and impressive tech, it's basically the Panama jack and Jordache jeans of technology. It's also a status symbol for people who pay way too much for technology. Don't get me wrong- I'm in that group, too, but you can get the job done with other operating systems that aren't aimed at the affluent. For those that can afford it, keep on keeping on. I think I'll stick to Windows and Linux for now.
Apple wants you to stick to them forever and yearly supporting their business by picking up their updated tech overpriced at affluent prices.
