That might be true but there are no versions of Enterprise that will even accept these keys.. After working for a university for almost the last 10 years sorry, Ive NEVER seen Dell or HP or anyone offer us the option of Windows Enterprise with any of the systems Ive purchased.. Ultimate was the top... Which is why we would just wipe whatever OS came with it and install our XP VL or Vista Enterprise versions. Maybe they use Enterprise in their offices but they dont get Enterprise editions for retail/OEM outlets, they only go to MCCA/SA customers..
Totally unrelated, as Enterprise only exists in Win7 (none other version ever had Enterprise) So the last 10 years do not count for anything... sebus
Yes, just like for Vista Enterprise, MS reserved a certain keyrange for Win7 Enterprise SLP keys: ActConfigId {358fb95b-0090-44fb-883a-75734e060c30} RefGroupId 178 EditionId Enterprise ProductDescription Windows 7 Enterprise OEM:SLP ProductKeyType OEM:SLP PartNumber X15-38947 EulaType OEM Start 927720000 End 927724999 So you can even figure out what PID such a key can produce. Doesn't mean that MS will ever actually release at least one such key, and definitely not for public.
Looks like you missed something or mixed everything... There was and still is Vista Enterprise, distributed with Volume licensing only, like Windows 7 Enterprise, and there is Vista Business, which edition for Win7 was renamed as Professional, they are distributed as Retail, OEM and Volume...
Youre right. How stupid of me...i just remembered there was Business in the retail ISO and put it together all wrong. Gee, the things that happen when its late and youre not quite sober anymore. Think i better shut up now before i embarass myself any further...
