the ancient greeks, inventors of democracy, had another nice traditon too; ostracism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostracism we all must have some fellowmember here whose presence we experience as a pain in the neck. while only mods can influence their presence, by means of the good old banhammer, we as ordinary members are not so priviledged. so lets get democratic here. you can list candidates here. just put a members`name; and it will necessary to give a good reason. because this is a serious discussion. [more serious than some.]
I will play the devil's advocate here. There was a time where I aggravated some here by the discussions about Windows 10 and privacy. And there were mistakes made on both sides. For that, I apologize for any wrongs that I have done. "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." Catharsis is good for the soul.
@nodnar: When the job is done, you must have enough sense to walk away from it. Everybody now knows what's going on, and the gurus around here took the necessary steps to fix it. My mission is complete.
Of all the boards I have been on over the years, I think this is the worst as regards some individuals getting their complexes worked up and attacking without provocation. So I’ve been involved in exchanges of less-than-amicable messages with some of them. But I have no apologies or remorse, because I was never the aggressor, but in each and every case I was merely using my human right to self-defense after having been attacked without provocation. Nevertheless, I believe mentioning names will not only make matters worse, but may be construed as me launching an unprovoked attack in this case, which I will never do.
@katzen: That's why I mentioned my own iniquities first, owned up to them, and left it at that. You're right. Let nothing take away the joy of living for you.
