After trying almost every office suite on the planet I finally settled for this:

"Portable IBM Lotus Symphony made with thinapp"

    Why ?

    1) it's portable, so it can be used from usb key whitout installation and it doesn't put s**t everywhere on your computer, like microsoft office and it's useless "office software protection platform"

    2) it supports all microsoft office and open office documents formats

    3) it doesn't require java crap being installed on your system.

The only default it has is that the process doesn't quit correctly. so I used a bat file with this command to solve the problem:
    TASKKILL /F /IM "IBM Lotus Symphony.exe"

If you know a better office suite please tell me.

    lmgtfy.com/?q=ibm+lotus+symphony
    lmgtfy.com/?q=thinapp

Now that I think about it, I don't need powerpoint. I heard Ms office 2010 starter can be made portable. If you don't need powerpoint it is better than "Portable IBM Lotus Symphony made with thinapp"

I will try this and report.

There is leaked version of MS Office 2010 starter "Click-to-run"
It fits on 500Mb Flash Drive and runs from there.
This is what i actually use and can be called "Portable Office Starter 2010."

MS Office 2010 starter failed my test. It's not fully portable, it can't be moved from the usb key where it was installed. Thinapp version didn't even start.....

well looks like i'll stay with my "Portable IBM Lotus Symphony made with thinapp" :hug2:
