The temperature of the processor jump from 37C to 47C.
The temperature of the I/O Controller Hub jump from 72C to 82C.

    OS: Win8.1.2

    I made custom install.

temporary means that it seemed to have happened only for a short period of time shortly after having installed the office suite and then normalized itself

Hardware performance check is still there, but has no GUI in 8.x.

    To show the performance index:
    Code:
wmic path Win32_WinSAT get CPUScore, MemoryScore, D3DScore, GraphicsScore, DiskScore, WinSPRLevel
    Code:
    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]
    (c) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

    C:\Windows\System32>wmic path Win32_WinSAT get CPUScore, MemoryScore, D3DScore,
    GraphicsScore, DiskScore, WinSPRLevel
CPUScore D3DScore DiskScore GraphicsScore MemoryScore WinSPRLevel
    8 8,2 8,05 8,2 8 8

    C:\Windows\System32>

    To run the performance check:
    Code:
    winsat formal

Installing office uses your hard drives a fair bit. You might check to make sure you have sufficient airflow.

Hard drives cause heat when in use. If you don't move the heat out of your case, it will build up.
