We have been all aware of this for over a month already.... old news As for that update, thats one of the nail M$ has implemented into the coffin of the KMS activation method.. :closed:

Look who calling the kettle black? You should learn to read yourself... I was saying that M$ has been killing off the WMC-KMS for over a month already and that that update has been implemented to further ensure the rest of the activations are killed off.
BTOR, thanks for mentioning this. So you're saying that those are the 4 updates to be avoided, if we want to keep ProWMC activated? If so, I will keep my ProWMC around for a little while longer (just for fun). I use both ProWMC and Enterprise, both just for testing (for now).
So with WMC is gone and now KMS,does that mean There is no way to even recharge it every 6 months? Im sure one guy is going to bitch me out for asking but i just did some updates on my main computer but didnt restart yet? I think its time to pay the 14.99 and just test in a VM...
KMS still works and always will for 8 as long as there is a working non-blacklisted(KMS Host Key) server to activate with.
My WMC received those updates yesterday, I restarted and it is still activated. I have found that installing STEAM for games deactivates, but rebooting it twice comes back as activated.
I installed update KB2785094 yesterday and my KMS-WMC activation is still working fine. In fact it still activates over the phone fine and I tried with two clean installs late last week just to test when all the rage started with WMC activation.
I restarted mine.Still activated. That one was a off-line activation.i think thats what it was called
