Please excuse me, while I consider myself very technical, I have never messed around with my ROM BIOS, or used any BIOS hacks. Is it possible to get a guide or an overview (or a link to one) - as so I can gain some instructions on flashing my Optiplex 755. BTW - I stupidely upgraded to the latest DELL BIOS version A16 - only to learn that this procedure itself does not upgrade the SLIC version to 2.1 (it remains at 2.0 - and thus - the Dell Win7 x64 recovery cd wants a valid license).... Any direction would be appreciative - thanks.....
Why not try for a modded bios? You may find your model right here listed on this site or you may need to provide a link to your bios so that someone can patch it with 2.1 Modded bios is the only way to go. You don't have to deal with boot loaders and don't have to worry about monitoring windows updates.
