I currently have an L460 that can multi-boot W7/8/10/11. I am Thinking about getting the newly released E16 Gen 2. The problem I see here is that there are no Windows 10 drivers offered for this model on the Lenovo support site. When I look at the downloads for the E16 Gen 1, I see drivers offered for both W10 and W11. I'm wondering if these drivers could be used for the Gen2. I would like to keep using W10 and W11. Has anyone managed installing W10 on the E16 Gen2?

Try installing one or two drivers if you get no conflict with the drivers you should be ok.

I'm trying to find out before purchasing the new Gen 2 HW and hoping someone else that already has an E16 Gen2 will chime in. :D

AMD and Intel versions were announced in March this year. I took a look at the G1/G2 Wifi inf files for W10/W11 and they were pretty much identical. Would that be an implication of the W10 drivers working on the G2? Is there anything else I could check that might be an indication of being able to use the W10 drivers? I would hate to be stuck on W11 only.

I would prefer getting HW that still supports at least W10 and up. The G1 does, but some things are outdated compared to the G2 specs The E16 also allows for 2 internal SSDs which I don't see on other ThinkPad models (L/T)

Go into the Lenovo forums and ask the question someone should give the correct answer.

That sounds promising. Is that a general statement or specific to the Thinkpad E16 G1/G2?

I only briefly checked one inf. Won't the device IDs for the W11 drivers play a roll as to whether a component will install?
I.e. if a component device id is not included in the W11 inf?
