Thanks for the reply I'm using my Raspberry pi with flashrom, its the only computer I have left :/ I built UEFITool yesterday, but wasn't 100% sure what In was looking at, thanks I'll give this a try!
I flashed the bios with the file you provided, and I think there was a problem. The fans spool up for only a moment, then everything turns off. Could it be that due to the failed/incomplete bios update to 1.54 (the one I linked), there are now conflicts with the non-bios parts of the bin which still expect 1.53? Using UEFITool to look at the pulled bin, and the downloaded bios from Lenovo, the folder structure appears to be different, is this normal? Thanks
yes i can merge 1.53 to it. i found someones .bin i can put your ethrnet mac serial n in it and use that one for test2
lenovos usually have a MEC1XXX small eprom in chip.. security related. likely will need bios region on your dump redone with right version.
