I just went through the process again to get a code and enter it and then I went to the store to install Bubble Birds and it asked me for the code again. I entered the same code but this time it tells me that the code is not correct. Since I dual boot with Windows 8, when I go back o Windows 8, now I get asked again for the code. Apparently you need a code for each installation of Windows and the same code won't work for both.
No - the same code won't work for both, nor should it. However, once you enter it for an install, unless you reinstall or upgrade the install, you won't have to enter it again "for that install". It's also far from unique to Windows; the same issue applies to Steam, to Chrome, and to Android (and even to OS X - it's now integrated into the installation with Mavericks) but not to Origin, oddly enough. The issue is electronic commerce security (the ModernUI AppStore in Windows 8 and 8.1) and cloud storage security (SkyDrive).
Not - it's about e-commerce security. The same feature is integrated into Steam, OS X (Mavericks) and even into all of Google's products (except GMail and YouTube- it IS part of Android and Chrome) - and you only deal with it once.
Shouldn't you just get the app back once you re-log into your LIVE account that you registered Bubble Birds with in first place? Like PGHammer said... all of the other Cloud Services work that way. You activate the serial number with that account once and that it is. You have to use that account if you want to get the app back. Nothing new here since Jesus.
I got a new code. I logged in to Microsoft. I went to the Store to install one of my favorite games and I was asked for my code. I entered the code I just got. It was NOT accepted. I had to get a new code just to install the game. Now it appears that every time I go to the store to install something I have to get a new code because the last code no longer works. I hope they rethink this arrangement and change it because having to get a new code each time is a pain the Microsoft.
It was pretty seamless to me, it sent a code to my cell during install (8.1) and it never asked for a code again Are you talking about paid apps?
