OK i know i been lazy for the past dayz to figure things out but now thats done for so i been researching this for 5 hours straight on how to fix this problem which is

When I got the PC first thing I did was try to install Windows XP and when it gets to the formatting area I chose NFTS Quick and it gave the following error

"Setup was unable to format the partition. The disk may be damaged.

Make sure the drive is switched on and properly connected to your computer. If the disk is a SCSI disk, make sure your SCSI devices are properly terminated. Consult your computer manual or SCSI adapter documentation for more information..

I tried a variety of things and nothing hasnt came to a success tried switching memory reformating using my pc besides the one am fixing i just dont know what to do anymore i can go more and more but i think you get the picture
ps. has anybody encountered this probelm and solved it

Try different drive, do not do quick format
Use Hirem's CD to check the drive, or other utils there to format it for you

Use your brain to it full potential

All sorts of things you can do with it
